Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise, NBCC (India) Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oil India Limited for construction of Central Core Repository with advanced laboratory facilities for Oil India Limited at Guwahati, Assam, worth about Rs. 100 crore.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Shri Saloma Yomdo, Executive Director (E&D), Oil India Limited and Shri Pradeep Sharma ED (Engineering). Dr. Ranjit Nath, Chairman and Managing Director, Oil India Limited, Shri KP Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC, Shri Salim Ahmed, Director (Projects), NBCC and senior officials of both the corporations were present on the occasion.


In addition, NBCC and Oil India Limited are also in the final stages of discussion for implementation of various other works in Assam such as hospital, group housing, guest house, installation of solar panels etc. The estimated cost of these works is around Rs. 900 crore.


Recently, NBCC has received a work order of Rs 700 crore from Kochi Metro Rail Limited for developing 17.4 acres of land in Kakkanad and Ernakulam in Kerala. NBCC will also construct a boys’ hostel in Hindu College at a cost of about Rs 70 crore. The corporation will also construct an office cum training institute for the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) at Khaitabad in Hyderabad at a cost of about Rs 9 crore.
