oresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd., a leading innovator in automotive vision systems, has announced a multi-phase collaboration agreement with BuilderX Inc., a Chinese company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) teleoperations equipment for heavy machinery. BuilderX’s technology enables real-time remote operation and monitoring of heavy machinery through remote-controlled consoles equipped with multiple cameras, designed for use in hazardous industrial and mining environments.

This collaboration follows the successful completion of a proof-of-concept (POC) project that Foresight reported on July 10, 2024. The project addressed key challenges faced in hazardous industrial settings, including the presence of toxic chemicals and gases, severe dust conditions that pose health risks, and poor visibility due to dust, glare, or insufficient lighting. BuilderX presented Foresight’s technology to its customers, receiving positive feedback on its potential for integration into industrial and heavy machinery applications.

As part of the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop and commercialize advanced 3D perception solutions for construction machinery and equipment. These solutions will be based on Foresight’s stereoscopic technology, using primarily visible-light cameras, to be incorporated into BuilderX’s remote-controlled consoles. In the long term, the collaboration will expand to integrate Foresight’s perception capabilities—utilizing both visible-light and thermal cameras—into BuilderX’s autonomous heavy machinery equipment. This integration is expected to significantly enhance autonomous driving capabilities in challenging industrial environments.

Shaolong Sui, CEO of BuilderX, expressed the company’s commitment to innovation, stating that the collaboration with Foresight is a crucial step toward advancing AI capabilities in the heavy machinery industry. He emphasized the need for equipment that can navigate hazardous environments, ensuring reliable and exceptional performance.

Oren Bar-On, CEO of Foresight Asia, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that the collaboration will allow Foresight to apply its expertise in 3D perception technology, enabling heavy machinery to operate safely and efficiently in extreme conditions.
