Doosan Bobcat announced that its subsidiary, Mottrol, known for its hydraulic components, will officially relaunch as “Doosan Mottrol.” This move follows the completion of Doosan Bobcat’s acquisition of the company on October 4th.
On October 15th, key executives, including Doosan Bobcat CEO and Vice Chairman Scott Park, visited Doosan Mottrol’s headquarters in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. During the visit, they toured the hydraulic components manufacturing facility with Doosan Mottrol President Youngmin Kwon and hosted a town hall meeting with 200 employees, marking a new chapter for the company.
At the town hall, Scott Park expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am truly delighted and proud to welcome Doosan Mottrol’s employees to the Doosan Bobcat family. With their proven world-class quality, we are committed to creating synergy and doubling Doosan Mottrol’s sales in the next five years through mutual success.”
The acquisition of Doosan Mottrol ensures a stable supply of essential hydraulic components and boosts Doosan Bobcat’s product competitiveness through vertical integration. Doosan Mottrol aims to diversify its products and markets, expanding beyond large construction equipment to include medium and small construction, agriculture, and logistics equipment.
Youngmin Kwon, President of Doosan Mottrol, added, “We are excited to embark on this journey with Doosan Bobcat, as we work towards becoming a global leader. We are committed to further improving quality and accelerating product development.”
Doosan Mottrol will continue to operate independently while seeking synergies with Doosan Bobcat, focusing on growth and global expansion as a key subsidiary.
