Takeuchi has expanded its North American offerings with the introduction of the TCR50-2 crawler dumper, an equipment solution for moving heavy materials over challenging terrain. Previously available in other global markets, the TCR50-2 is now accessible to North American customers, addressing the region’s growing demand for versatile machines in construction, mining, and infrastructure.
“The demand for crawler dumpers in North America is rising due to urbanization and the need for agile equipment that can carry heavy loads on unstable or rough surfaces,” says Lee Padgett, Product Manager for Takeuchi-US. “The TCR50-2 meets these requirements with power and efficiency.”
Weighing 14,440 pounds, the TCR50-2 is powered by a 118-horsepower engine, allowing it to carry up to 8,157 pounds of material. Its 65-degree dumping angle and a dump bed that rotates 180 degrees simplify load handling and reduce wear on its rubber tracks. The TCR50-2’s design also minimizes repositioning and enhances maneuverability, making it ideal for confined job sites.
The TCR50-2 operator’s station offers a 5.7-inch color display, 180-degree rearview camera, and hydraulic joystick controls for a comfortable and efficient operator experience. Additional features include an adjustable suspension seat, powerful air conditioning, radio with USB capability, and LED work lights. Takeuchi’s Fleet Management (TFM) telematics system is standard, providing real-time machine health updates, maintenance reminders, and customizable alerts to minimize downtime and operational costs.
“The TCR50-2 exemplifies Takeuchi’s commitment to delivering high-performing, operator-friendly equipment,” Padgett added. “Its compact footprint, load-handling power, and low ground pressure make it a game-changer for jobsite efficiency and profitability.”
