According to a report by Bank of Baroda, the Centre and state governments have announced road infrastructure projects worth ₹3.9 lakh crore for FY25, aiming to boost connectivity and reduce logistics costs.

The central government has allocated ₹1.42 lakh crore, with Rajasthan receiving ₹67,000 crore (47%) for 28 flyovers. Assam will get ₹50,000 crore for 1,647 km of roads, and Meghalaya ₹25,000 crore for 136 km.

States have committed ₹3.7 lakh crore, with ₹2.5 lakh crore (67%) focused on transport infrastructure. Gujarat leads with ₹97,892 crore in projects, followed by Rajasthan at ₹87,438 crore and Odisha at ₹27,400 crore.

These investments are part of the ₹11.1 lakh crore public sector Capex outlined in the Union Budget. Overall, new investments worth ₹38.3 lakh crore have been announced for FY25, with 69% from the private sector, mostly domestic, focusing on renewable energy, conventional power, chemicals, and steel.
