HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd. has launched its all-new 20T Smart X Plus excavator series along with BS-V Wheel Loaders.
The launch included five new excavator models in the 20-ton class, designed to work across diverse terrains. These machines will support construction, mining, irrigation, and infrastructure projects, strengthening Hyundai’s portfolio in these core sectors.
The newly introduced BS-V Wheel Loaders, available in the 3-ton HL630I and 5-ton HL650I models, are built for productivity, fuel efficiency, and durability. They are suited for material handling in mining, quarrying, ports, and construction projects. Complying with Government BS-V emission norms, the loaders feature advanced technology for reliable performance in demanding work environments, while lowering operating costs.
The event was hosted at Hyundai’s manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune, with dealers, customers, media partners, creators, and key stakeholders in attendance. Mr. Cheolgon Choi, Global CEO of HD Hyundai CE, unveiled the Smart X Plus Excavators and BS-V Wheel Loaders.

The launch began with a traditional Maharashtrian welcome of Dhol-Tasha and cultural performances, followed by addresses from company leadership. The highlight was the unveiling of the Smart X Plus series, a customer-inspired innovation built on the 5X advantage platform.
