Tata Power Mumbai Distribution team has received the prestigious IPPAI Power Award 2024 for innovative demand response program. This recognition honours Tata Power’s pioneering efforts in energy conservation through its Behaviour Demand Response program for the customers in Mumbai . The program includes integration of various systems like Meter Data Management Systems, Smart Meters etc. The program identifies electricity overload in certain pockets using Artificial intelligence and assist consumers over messages and other platforms to lower consumption in lieu of which incentives are paid.
The recognition was bestowed upon Tata Power during the 24th Regulatory and Policy Makers event organized by the Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI) at Belgaum, Karnataka.
The event was graced by distinguished guests which included – Mr Bhupinder Singh Bhalla- Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Mr Ghanshyam Prasad – Chairperson of the Central Electricity Authority, and Dr Pramod Deo – Former Chairman, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission. This recognition serves as a testament to Tata Power’s dedication to innovation and excellence in the energy sector, reaffirming our position as a trailblazer in driving positive change within the industry.
