BKT Accelerates Its Global Footprint with Progressive Manufacturing and Next-Gen Off-Highway Tyre Technologies
BKT highlights its expanding manufacturing capabilities, strong R&D ecosystem, and focus on sustainable production as it presents new off-highway tyre innovations at EXCON 2025. With major capacity additions and clear growth plans, the company is gearing up for its next phase of global expansion.
Could you provide a brief overview of your manufacturing facilities, including their locations, product lines, and any planned investments
BKT operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Waluj, Bhiwadi, Chopanki and Bhuj, with the Bhuj serving as our flagship plant in India.
These facilities together produce a wide range of off-highway tyres. The Bhuj facility, spread over 258 acres, includes a dedicated R&D center, testing track, and advanced compounding capabilities. We are also enhancing our capabilities by installing additional machinery and advanced systems to boost our capacity for our on-road segment.
BKT continues to invest in capacity expansion, automation, green energy, and product diversification to meet the growing global demand.

Please tell us about innovations and R&D in BKT?
BKT integrates advanced technologies across its R&D, manufacturing, and testing processes. Our tyres incorporate high-strength compounds, reinforced carcass structures, and innovative tread designs that enhance traction, load-bearing capability, and heat resistance. The BKT MULTIFORCE is an example, delivering superior handling and traction on paved surfaces while ensuring smooth transitions between loose and hard terrains, leading to efficiency even during the most challenging tasks.
We have also made significant investments in strengthening our partnerships, particularly with leading OEMs across the globe. By collaborating closely with manufacturers, we co-develop tyre solutions that are engineered to meet the precise performance requirements of each machine. To guarantee consistency and exceptional performance, our tyres undergo a rigorous series of tests at every stage of production. Further enhancing our capabilities, we have established our own carbon manufacturing facility, enabling complete control over one of the most critical raw materials in tyre production.
Through continuous innovation and industry tracking, we consistently push the boundaries of what off-highway tyres can achieve. This commitment ensures our products deliver superior reliability and safety, reinforcing our position as a trusted global partner.
How does BKT incorporate sustainability into tire manufacturing?
At BKT, sustainability is a foundational pillar of our long-term strategy, driving innovation across both our products and our manufacturing processes.
Our leadership in India is strengthened by a high level of vertical integration, encompassing in-house carbon black production, mold and drum manufacturing, and world-class R&D facilities. In FY 2024–25, 32% of renewable raw materials are already being used in our products, reflecting our commitment to reducing dependency on conventional resources.
We have made strong progress in energy, water, and waste efficiency, with 98.17% of process waste is recycled, renewable energy usage continues to rise, and non-renewable consumption is reducing. At our Waluj plant, water use dropped 25% over two years, and in October 2025 the plant achieved record-low scrap, improved energy and material efficiency, better FTQ, and enhanced safety.
Sustainability is embedded across our product lifecycle. Through renewable energy, optimized processes, and advanced materials, we reduce our environmental footprint while delivering performance, uncompromised quality and long-term value that define every BKT tyre.
What product highlights or innovations is BKT showcasing at EXCON this year?
For BKT, EXCON goes far beyond being an industry event. It serves as a stage to reaffirm our innovation leadership and our commitment to India’s infrastructure journey.
This year for EXCON 2025, we are presenting our latest generation of off-highway tyre solutions, engineered for the rapidly evolving demands of the construction, mining, and material-handling industries. With BKT’s flagship EARTHMAX All Steel Radial range, we are showcasing the results of years of extensive R&D, deep market insight, and precision engineering.
The BKT EARTHMAX SR53 L-5 and the BKT EARTHMAX SR 468 E-4, both engineered to deliver load-bearing capability and safety in the most demanding environments. Additionally, we are showcasing the rubber track BKT MULTIFORCE BK T92 MC provides superior handling and traction on paved surfaces as well as smooth transitions between loose and hard terrains, resulting in peak efficiency even in challenging tasks.
Through continuous innovation and industry tracking, we consistently push the boundaries of what off-highway tyres can achieve. This commitment ensures our products deliver superior reliability and safety, reinforcing our position as a trusted global partner.
Please give us an idea about your investments, and the expansion plans ahead.
In line with our vision to scale sustainably and meet rising global demand, in mid-2025, we announced plans to increase manufacturing and expanding carbon black production by an additional 360,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) and adding 24 MW of cogeneration power at our flagship plant in Bhuj. We also have created a strong growth plan to increase our revenue by 2.2x by FY2030, reaching about INR 23,000 crore from INR 10,600 crore in FY2025. This growth will come from three key areas: expanding our Carbon Black capacity, entering new tyre categories in the Indian market, and increasing our presence in the Off-Highway Tyre (OHT) segment. These steps will help us reach new customers, strengthen our market position and drive steady long-term growth.
