Digital Technologies Reshaping Project Management Consultancy in Construction

Project Management Consultancy in construction is undergoing a fundamental shift with the adoption of digital technologies. Tools such as BIM, GIS, and integrated project management platforms are enabling better planning, coordination, and decision-making, allowing projects to be delivered with improved efficiency, transparency, and control across all stages of execution.

What were your key objectives for participating in EXCON 2025, and to what extent were these objectives achieved?

Our primary objective for participating in EXCON 2025 was to showcase our capabilities in manufacturing high-efficiency hydraulic filters for excavators and concrete equipment. We also aimed to connect with OEMs and end customers to understand field-level challenges and jointly drive new technological advancements from a user’s perspective.

These objectives were successfully achieved. We witnessed significant footfall at our stall and received strong engagement from both OEMs and end users. Additionally, we successfully launched our new hydraulic filter series for XCMG equipment, which was well received by the market, reinforcing our position as a technology-driven filtration partner.

What were the key products or technologies showcased by your company at EXCON 2025?

At EXCON 2025, we showcased a complete range of hydraulic filtration solutions for a wide spectrum of applications, including:

Excavators

Boom Pumps and Stationary Pumps

Transit Mixers and Self-Loading Concrete Mixers

Tippers

Forklifts

Mining Equipment

End customers were able to witness and source the entire hydraulic filtration system under one roof, including breathers, level gauges, suction filters, return filters, return-suction filters, inline pressure filters, pilot line filters, and rock breaker filters. This “one-stop solution” approach was highly appreciated by both OEMs and fleet operators.

How do your products address current customer requirements such as productivity, fuel efficiency, sustainability, safety, and ease of maintenance?

Our high-performance filters with a 2000 Beta ratio enable extended filter change intervals—often exceeding 1,000 operating hours—while preventing rapid ageing and degradation of hydraulic oil. This ensures that critical components such as valves, cylinders, and pumps remain in near-new condition for longer periods.

By partnering with Filtrec, end users significantly reduce service, maintenance, and repair costs, while also improving equipment uptime and operational safety. Overall, the lifetime value of the machine increases, and studies indicate that customers can achieve up to 12% higher lifetime profitability by using genuine Filtrec products.

What steps is your company taking to support sustainable construction practices through its products and manufacturing processes?

At Filtrec Bharat Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd., we strongly believe in the philosophy of “sustainable product, sustainable process, and sustainable people.” This approach spans the entire lifecycle—from responsible sourcing of raw materials and manpower to manufacturing, transportation, usage, and end-of-life disposal.

At EXCON 2025, we launched Complete Hydraulic Filter Kits for Excavators and Concrete Equipment, enabling customers to change filters once a year instead of the earlier practice of two or three changes annually. This not only reduces operational costs but also significantly lowers environmental impact by minimizing waste and resource consumption.

Additionally, our filters achieve 99.99% dirt absorption efficiency, keeping hydraulic oil cleaner for longer durations and contributing to improved equipment efficiency and sustainability.

In your opinion, how has customer expectation evolved in the Indian construction equipment market over the past year?

Customer expectations in the Indian construction equipment market have evolved significantly. Today, customers are more focused on advanced technology, reliability, and total cost of ownership (TCO) rather than just the initial purchase price.

With increased exposure to global standards and Western technologies, Indian customers now expect higher efficiency, longer service intervals, and predictable lifecycle costs. This shift is driving manufacturers and suppliers to align their product strategies with global benchmarks.

What support or policy measures would you like from the government and industry bodies to accelerate growth in the sector?

Given recent geopolitical developments and trade policies worldwide, it is evident that many countries are prioritizing domestic manufacturing. In this context, the Indian government should consider higher import duties or stricter BIS regulations on finished goods imports to strengthen domestic industries.

Industry bodies such as ICEMA, CII, FPSI, and MSME associations should work collaboratively to provide timely recommendations and policy inputs to the government. Such coordinated efforts would enable Indian manufacturers to scale faster, innovate better, and compete globally.

What is your outlook for the Indian construction equipment industry in 2026?

India’s GDP has grown from USD 2.1 trillion in 2015 to approximately USD 4.3 trillion today, effectively doubling over the last decade. Looking ahead, it is expected that such growth cycles may shorten, with similar expansion occurring in less than five years, particularly in core sectors such as automotive, construction, steel, and power.

We anticipate that the Indian construction equipment industry will grow by more than 10% in 2026, driven by infrastructure development, urbanization, and government investments. At Filtrec, we share this optimism and expect to double our production and sales in India within the next three years.

What are your company’s key strategic priorities, product plans, or investment focus areas for 2026?

For 2026, our strategic priorities will remain firmly focused on:

Customer-centric innovation

Advanced filtration technology development

Localization of products and manufacturing for the Indian construction equipment industry

We aim to deepen collaboration with OEMs and end users while continuing to invest in R&D, manufacturing excellence, and sustainable solutions that deliver long-term value.
