Engineering Tomorrow’s Hybrid Machines

Infra Engineers India Pvt. Ltd. (IEPL): Driving Sustainable Innovation in Construction Equipment.

With nearly a decade of industry expertise and enduring customer trust, Infra Engineers India Pvt. Ltd. (IEPL) has established a distinguished presence in the used construction equipment sector. Driven by a strong culture of innovation, the company consistently develops next-generation technologies that redefine industry benchmarks.

Its focused investment in research, engineering, and practical innovation has positioned IEPL as a pioneering force in delivering intelligent, sustainable, and high-performance equipment solutions.

Leading the Hybrid Revolution

A defining milestone in IEPL’s innovation journey is the development of its pioneering Dual Plug-in Electric & Diesel Hybrid Excavator, a groundbreaking advancement in the construction equipment industry. The patent application is currently under process, further reinforcing IEPL’s focus on engineering excellence and technological advancement.

A Historic Industry Milestone

Leveraging its proven expertise in Plug-in Electric & Diesel Hybrid conversions for used excavators, IEPL has achieved another significant industry milestone by successfully integrating its advanced hybrid technology into brand-new Kobelco excavators, securing an order from a valued customer. This landmark achievement marks a historic breakthrough in the Indian construction equipment industry, reinforcing IEPL’s leadership in delivering next-generation, sustainable construction solutions.

Built on Trust, Driven by Performance

With a strong foundation built on continuous research and development, IEPL is steadily strengthening its market presence through technological innovation and sustained growth. The company continues to receive repeat orders from its clients, reflecting the trust, confidence, and long-term relationships it has established by consistently delivering reliable, high-performance solutions.

Global Expansion of EV Hybrid Technology

Building on the success of its EV Plug-in Hybrid technology in India, IEPL has expanded its global presence through a strategic joint venture with Maak Electra Co. Ltd., Thailand. The company successfully commissioned its first 20-ton EV Plug-in Hybrid Excavator for Double A (1991) Public Company Limited, one of Thailand’s leading paper manufacturers, earning repeat orders that reflect growing customer confidence in its technology.

This milestone has led to 10 confirmed EV hybrid retrofit orders, with interest from 10 additional companies in Thailand, highlighting the increasing international acceptance of IEPL’s engineering expertise and sustainable equipment solutions.

Value Beyond Performance

IEPL’s EV and Hybrid Excavators combine cost efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. Operating costs are approximately `350/hour for 20-ton and `600–650/hour for 50-ton models. Retrofitting used excavators into EV and Hybrid models can enable investment recovery within around 5,000 operating hours, delivering both financial and environmental benefits.

Next-Generation EV Hybrid Conversions

IEPL enables customers to transform their existing machines into advanced EV Hybrid equipment, delivering a highly cost-effective solution that enhances performance, improves operational efficiency, and promotes sustainable operations.

Spreading its Wings

IEPL has expanded into specialized attachments for demolition, recycling, and material handling, delivering reliable, high-performance solutions for ferrous, non-ferrous, and scrap applications—reinforcing its commitment to innovation, productivity, and application-focused engineering.

Strengthening Presence in the Maldives

IEPL has built a strong presence in the Maldives through equipment exports and reliable after-sales support. As an Authorized Tata Hitachi Dealer, IEPL has delivered 40+ new machines in just two years, reflecting strong customer trust and service excellence.

Further strengthening its presence in the region, IEPL, with the support of Tata Motors, successfully entered the Maldives truck market by exporting nearly 20 trucks across multiple models, with an additional 10 units in the pipeline. Despite strong competition from established brands such as Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz, and leading Chinese manufacturers, the company secured the supply of Tata Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) for the prestigious Villa Project. IEPL is strategically expanding its footprint with plans to establish a dedicated service centre, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality customer support and reliable after-sales service.

Works Facility nearing Completion

IEPL is nearing completion of its 12-acre Chennai works facility, featuring a 150,000 sq. ft. covered shed for large-scale assembly, testing, customization, and equipment rebuilding—enhancing efficiency, precision, quality, and faster turnaround times.

Building Skills for the Future

Recognizing the growing shortage of skilled manpower and the increasing technical complexity of modern construction equipment, IEPL is establishing a dedicated Training Academy by the end of 2026. Designed to provide hands-on training in advanced equipment maintenance and service excellence, the academy will nurture a highly skilled, future-ready workforce. Spread across a 30,000-square-foot facility, it will have the capacity to train up to 750 service professionals annually, strengthening industry capabilities and promoting the highest standards of technical expertise and service.

The Road Ahead

Accelerating its growth momentum, IEPL plans to expand into two additional Southeast Asian countries while preparing to launch its next-generation EV Hybrid Wheel Loaders. Serving diverse sectors such as scrap handling, waste management, ports, paper, and mining, IEPL remains committed to transforming conventional equipment into intelligent, sustainable machines that deliver enhanced productivity, operational efficiency, and long-term value.
